Dehydration Causes, Symptoms and easy remedies

DEHYDRATION CAUSES, SYMPTOMS AND REMEDIES: 

Dehydration is an excessive or an abnormal loss of water from the body, or body organ or somebody parts, which causes a rise in blood sodium level .It is a condition in which amount of loss in body fluids or water is exceeded then the amount that’s taken in along with Our body contain 55 t0 70% of water in blood vessels, muscular tissues, and cells.

Causes of Dehydration
  1. One of the basic causes is using less amount of water then body’s requirement .living in an area where proper facilities of safe and clean drinking water are no available, or inability to seek sufficient amount of water as in case of infants or sometimes we are too busy.
  2. Body loses water through lungs in the form of water vapors, through kidneys in form of urine, though skin by perspiration.
  3. Injuries like burns, skin infections or heavy blood lose due to some severe accidents

    mount of water or fluids from the body due to.
  • Vomiting: lots of water from stomach is ejected through vomiting which can be due to food poisoning, gastritis, stomach flu, or riding in a car, train or airplane what we call motion sickness.
  • Diarrhea: According to World Health Organization having 3 or more loose stool per day or having more stools than normal for that person. It can be caused due to gastritis, food poisoning, Ischemic, and food handled by the person suffering from diarrhea. 
  • Sweating: Sweating or perspiration is production of fluids secreted by the sweat glands. It can be due to hot weather, during exercise, or situations when someone feels confused. 
  • Urination:  usually caused by uncontrolled diabetes, or some medicine

1. Physical symptoms of dehydration


  • Thirst, dry mouth
  • Dry and inelastic skin
  • Muscular pains
  •  Dizziness
  •  Decreased urine output
  •  No tears on crying
  •  No sweating
  •  Headache
  •  Fever
  •  Low blood pressure
2. Mental symptoms of dehydration
  • Feeling weakness and fainting
  • Confusion
  • Unconsciousness
  • Sluggishness 

Easily Treat Dehydration

Dehydration is treated by replenishment of water level in the body:

Natural treatments are:
  • Increase intake of fresh water at least 3 to 4 lit per day

  • Increase fluid intake in form of fresh juices, sports drinks
  • Avoid fluids containing caffeine like tea and coffee
  • Take your meals on time  
  • Eat  food that have high water level
  • Have balance diet  
  • Sportsmen an those working in harsh environments , people suffering from diabetes, adrenal glands disorder and kidney disease  should take special care of their  water in take
  • Avoid unhygienic  food and liquids 
  • People more than 65 should take special care of their fluid intake  
In case of severe dehydration where you feel the following symptoms:
  • Diarrhea for more than 2 days
  • No urine in 12 hours
  • High fever
  • Weight loss
  • Headache
  • Sluggishness
  • Sunken eyes
  • Vomiting for more than 1 day  
In such conditions hospital’s emergency departments should be consulted.
